Lehman competed in the sport of wrestling during his time at IC. During his junior year, he won the Midwest Regional to qualify for the NCAA Tournament and was named an All-American. Lehman placed second in the Midwest Regional during his senior season, but was still selected as a wildcard qualifier for the national meet. He was an Academic All-American as a junior and senior and MVP his senior year. He received the William J. Downer Award as the most outstanding male student-athlete at IC in 2000.
