Bruner Center Hours

The Bruner Fitness and Recreation Center, Bellatti and Zelcs Fitness Centers and all other Illinois College athletic facilities are open to Illinois College students, faculty and staff. They are not open to the public. 

Bruner Fitness and Recreation Center (Academic Year)
Monday through Thursday | 6 a.m. to 10 p.m.
Friday | 6 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Saturday and Sunday | 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
*The Bellatti and Zelcs Fitness Centers will be closed on days when there is a home football game.

Coultas Natatorium - **Beginning September 1** 
Monday | 6am-8am and 4pm-9pm

The Jessica Kamp Softball field and Joe Brooks baseball field are reserved for use by the members of each team and are available to the general campus community by reservation only. 
All other outdoor spaces are open from dawn until dusk.

Illinois College Outdoor Athletic Facilities

The Jessica Kamp Softball field, Joe Brooks baseball field, and the Bellatti Tennis complex are reserved for use by the members of each team and are available to the general campus community by reservation only. 
All other outdoor spaces are open from dawn until dusk.  

Bruner Fitness and Recreation Center Policies

We hope you take advantage of this facility to improve physical fitness, wellness and leisure time. Through the generosity of many individuals and businesses, and the careful stewardship of the Illinois College Board of Trustees, the Bruner Fitness and Recreation Center has been constructed for the benefit of the students, faculty and staff of Illinois College and their families. These individuals and the members of the Board of Trustees and Alumni Board of Directors, by virtue of their association with the College, will receive complementary membership and usage of the facility. Proper identification is needed for use of the facility. Memberships are not available to the general public.

The facility was constructed with the primary purpose of promoting wellness on campus by providing a venue for recreation and competitive athletic programs. Public events may be hosted at the Bruner Fitness and Recreation Center when they do not interfere with student usage of the facility. Terms and fees for usage will be determined on a per-event basis. Priority consideration will be given to those events which further the mission and goals of the College.

Facility Users

:: All Illinois College students, faculty, staff, and members of the Board of Trustees and Alumni Board of Directors, with proper photo identification may use the Bruner Center facilities during recreation hours.

:: Spouses, significant others or life partners of students, faculty, staff, and members of the Board of Trustees and Alumni Board of Directors, may use the Bruner Center facilities with proper photo identification obtained through the Access Control Officer located at the Campus Services Building.

:: Children, age 16 and over, of Illinois College personnel must have proper photo identification obtained through the Access Control Officer located at the Campus Services Building.

:: Children, age 15 and under, of Illinois College personnel must be accompanied by a parent or supervising adult and must remain with that supervisor at all times.

:: Retired faculty, staff and trustees may use the facilities by obtaining proper identification from the Access Control Officer located at the Campus Services Building.

:: Anyone with current Illinois College student identification may bring one guest. All guests must remain with their host at all times. The guest is the responsibility of the host and must leave when their host leaves.

Facility Use Policies

:: Eating, drinking and the consumption of tobacco products are not permitted in Sherman Gymnasium, King Field House, Coultas Natitorium, Bellatti Fitness Center or Wilton Multi-Purpose Room.

:: Street shoes are not permitted in any activity area. Any non-marking athletic shoe is acceptable. Any athletic shoe is acceptable for use of the King Field House. Spikes and cleats are not permitted.

:: Hanging on basketball rims is not permitted.

:: Coats and/or additional clothing may not be left on the floors. Coat racks are available in the Bellatti Fitness Center.

:: Appropriate attire for use of Bruner Fitness and Recreation Center facilities includes shirt, shorts/sweats and shoes. Men must wear a shirt. Personal items such as coats and backpacks should be stored at the Bellatti Fitness Center desk.

:: Users of machines in the Bellatti Fitness Center must wipe down machines after use.

:: During times of high usage, sign-in procedures may be required for use of cardiovascular equipment, and time restrictions of 25 minutes will be enforced. Check with the supervisor on duty to assist with this procedure.

:: Please replace the weight pins, weight plates and dumbbells to their original location.

Coultas Natatorium Policies

:: Users must present proper photo identification to the lifeguard on duty in the pool office. In accordance with the Health Department regulations, all users and guests must shower and sign in on the clipboard before using the facility.

:: The pool, spa, sauna and steam room can be used only during published hours when a lifeguard is on duty.

:: Children, age 15 and under, must be accompanied by a parent or supervising adult and must remain with the supervisor at all times.

:: All pool rules and regulations must be followed. The Aquatics Director and lifeguards have the authority to revoke pool privileges for individuals who display inappropriate behavior.

:: Coultas Natatorium hours are subject to change to due to practice and competition schedules of Illinois College, Jacksonville High and Routt Catholic High School.
