GRINNELL, Iowa – Illinois College's
Haley Garrett has been named the Midwest Conference Women's Track Performer of the Week, the league announced today.
A junior from Bement, Ill., Garrett won both the 100 and 200 meters at the Illinois College Thursday Throwdown with Midwest Conference-leading times last week. Garrett recorded a 12.17-second effort in the 100 and then posted a 25.24-second showing in the 200.
This is the third time in her career that Garrett has earned the league's weekly honor.
IC will be in action again on Saturday when it travels to the Greenville Select Meet at 10:30 a.m.
