GRINNELL, Iowa – Illinois College's
Aleese Trimingham has been named the Midwest Conference Women's Track Performer of the Week, the league announced today.
A junior from Auburn, Ill., Trimingham posted the 11th-best time in the nation and tops in the conference when she ran a 14.74-second effort in the 100-meter hurdles at Illinois State's Joyce Morton-Kief Invitational. She also posted the league's fastest time (and 34th nationally) in the 400-meter hurdles (1:05.65).
This is the fifth time in her career that Trimingham has earned the league's weekly honor.
IC will host its annual outdoor meet on Thursday at England Stadium. Field events begin at 11:00 a.m. with running events starting at 1:00 p.m.
