GRINNELL, Iowa - Illinois College's
Riley Gardner has been named the Midwest Conference Women's Field Performer of the Week, the league announced today.
A freshman from Crawfordsville, Ind., Gardner won the high jump at the Greenville Select meet on Saturday, tying her school record of 1.65 meters (5' 5"), which she set the previous week. Her height currently ranks first in the Midwest Conference and 14th nationally.
This is the third time this year that Gardner has earned the league's weekly honor.
IC will be in action this weekend when it travels to the Augustana Meet of Champions in Rock Island, Ill.
