GRINNELL, Iowa - Illinois College's
Aleese Trimingham has been named the Midwest Conference Women's Track Performer of the Week, the league announced today.
A junior from Auburn, Ill., Trimingham won two titles – the 100-meter and 400-meter hurdles – at the Greenville Select meet on Saturday. Her winning times of 14.43 (100-meter hurdles) and 1:03.44 (400-meter hurdles) are both in the best times to date in the Midwest Conference this season. Her 100-meter hurdle time ranks 16th nationally, while her 400-meter hurdle time is the 22nd-best in the nation.
This is the sixth time in her career, and second in the past three weeks, that Trimingham has earned the league's weekly honor.
IC will be in action this weekend when it travels to the Augustana Meet of Champions in Rock Island, Ill.
