Final Results
GREENVILLE, Ill. – The Illinois College women's track and field team had two titlists at the Greenville Select Meet on Saturday at Francis Field at the John M. Strahl Complex.
Headlining the Lady Blues' effort was
Aleese Trimingham, who won two titles – the 100-meter and 400-meter hurdles. Her winning times of 14.43 (100-meter hurdles) and 1:03.44 (400-meter hurdles) are both in the best times to date in the Midwest Conference this season.
IC's other champion was
Riley Gardner in the high jump. She equaled her school record (and MWC-best height this season) by clearing 1.65 meters to claim the title.
On the track, IC got a third-place finish from the 4x100-meter relay squad in 48.13 seconds and fourth-place showings from
Haley Garrett in the 100 (12.31 seconds) and 200 (25.60 seconds) meters. The 4x400-meter relay team also finished fourth in 4:06.29.
In the field events,
Delanie Teno placed third in the shot put (11.10 meters) and was fifth in the hammer throw (42.33 meters). Teno was joined in the hammer throw by
Natalie Hasting, who took fourth (42.69 meters), and
Ellie Bartling in the shot put, who placed fifth (10.73 meters). Bartling (35.87 meters) and Hasting (35.84 meters) went 4-5 in the discus as well.
Keyleigh Thomas and
Fynesse Jones rounded out IC's field event top performers. Thomas was fifth in the javelin with a throw of 38.38 meters, while Jones leaped 5.10 meters to finish fifth in the long jump.

The Lady Blues will travel to Rock Island, Ill., for the Augustana Meet of Champions on Friday and Saturday. Friday's action begins at 1:30 p.m. with Saturday's events kicking off at 11:00 a.m.
