Final Results
MONMOUTH, Ill. – The Illinois College women's track and field team crowned four champions at the Thursday Twilight Special at April Zorn Memorial Stadium.
Three of IC's four titlists came in the field events.
Riley Gardner won the high jump, clearing a season-best 1.66 meters, which is the 13th-best mark in the nation to date. Â
Deja Anderson won the long jump with a leap of 5.62 meters, and
Deniyah Lockman won the triple jump with a mark of 10.67 meters.
Anderson was joined in the long jump by
Parker Wooderson (2nd – 5.38 meters) and Lockman (4th – 4.98 meters).
Keyleigh Thomas took second in the javelin with a throw of 40.21 meters, the 28th-best toss in the nation.
Rounding out IC's field event top finishers were
Kevlynn DeJaynes (45.12 meters) and
Natalie Hasting (44.64 meters), who finished fourth and fifth in the hammer throw.
In the track events, IC's
Samantha Costello won the 1,500-meters in a time of 5:44.46.
Morgan Carrino was second in 6:16.38.
Caroline Peters took second in the 800 meters in 2:27.39.
Jasiah Singleton (1:04.82) was fourth in the 400 meters, as was
Macie Lierly (13.05 seconds) in the 100 meters.
