GRINNELL, Iowa – Illinois College's
Riley Gardner has been named the Midwest Conference Field Performer of the Week, the league announced today.
A freshman from Crawfordsville, Ind., Gardner won the high jump at the Eastern Illinois John Craft Invite on Saturday by clearing 1.69 meters (5' 6 ½") to claim the title. Her mark of 1.69 meters is the best in the Midwest Conference to date and ranks third in all of NCAA Division III this season.
Gardner and the Lady Blues will return to action on Saturday when they host the annual IC Snowbird Invite inside King Fieldhouse. The meet begins at 10:00 a.m.
