GRINNELL, Iowa – Illinois College's
Aleese Trimingham has been named the Midwest Conference Track Performer of the Week, the league announced today.
A junior from Auburn, Ill., Trimingham opened the season by winning the 60-meter hurdles at the Illinois Wesleyan First Chance Meet on Friday. Trimingham's 9.14-second performance was the second-fastest time in IC history and the best mark recorded in the conference this season.
This is the fourth time in her career that Trimingham has won the conference's weekly honor.
The Lady Blues will return to action after the holidays when they host the IC Snowbird on January 24th.
