Final Results
GREENVILLE, Ill. – The Illinois College men's track and field team had a pair of champions at the Greenville Select Meet on Saturday at the John Strahl Athletic Complex.
Both of IC's champs came in the field events as
Melvin Hodge won the hammer throw with a toss of 51.25 meters.
Deon Rodgers brought home the title in the shotput with a mark of 13.17 meters.
The Blueboys also had a trio of runner-up finishes in the field events as well.
Jacob Kollman was second in the triple jump with a leap of 13.52 meters,
Mark Flores brought home a second-place finish in the javelin with a throw of 43.37 meters, and
Josh Hodge was second in the discus with a mark of 38.99 meters.
Dylan Doss was third in the long jump (6.92 meters), as was
Kyle Russell in the discus (38.85 meters), and
Xander Moushon in the hammer throw (50.58 meters).
Brady Borntreger was fourth in the javelin (40.00 meters), along with
Melvin Hodge in the shotput (13.17 meters).
Griffin Martin rounded out IC's top five finishes in the field events with a fifth-place showing in the discus (37.46 meters).
On the track, the Blueboys got second-place finishes from
Adam Hernandez in the 110-meter hurdles (15.16 seconds), Doss in the 400 meters (47.32 seconds) and the 4x100-meter relay team (41.78 seconds).
Devin Boggs finished fourth in the steeple chase in 10:22.07
