BELOIT, Wis. – The Illinois College men's swimming team crowned three champions at the annual Midseason Invite on Friday and Saturday inside the Robert G. Nicholls Natatorium.
The Blueboys had two individual champions in
Scottie Nicotra in the 400-yard IM with a time of 4:24.71 and
Cade Emerick in the 1,650-yard freestyle in 18:55.35. IC's 400-yard freestyle relay team of
Lucas Sullens,
John Masiliunas,
Eli Eberle, and Nicotra touched the wall first in 3:20.02.
IC's 400-yard medley relay team of
Nathen Trachta, Sullens, Eberle, and Nicotra was second (3:46.17) while the 200-yard medley relay squad of Masiliunas,
Ethan Norton, Eberle, and Nicotra took third (1:44.52).
Individually, Sullens was second in the 200-yard butterfly (2:11.08), as was Nicotra in the 200-yard IM (2:04.62),
Xaiver Applegate took second in the 1,650-yard freestyle (20:27.75), while Masiliunas rounded out the second-place finishers with a 52.99-second showing in the 100-yard backstroke.

The Blueboys will take a break for the Thanksgiving holiday before returning to action by hosting the IC Tri-Meet on December 6th inside the Coultas Natatorium. The first race is scheduled for 1:00 p.m.
