MONMOUTH, Ill. – The Illinois College men's swimming team got three victories and used that to win the Monmouth Invite on Saturday at the Pepper Natatorium.
The Blueboys earned 223 points to claim the title. Illinois Wesleyan, Simpson, and Monmouth tied for second with 166.
IC got individual titles from
Lucas Sullens in the 200-yard IM with a time of 2:03.52 and
Eli Eberle in the 100-yard butterfly in 52.95.
The Blueboys relay 400-yard freestyle relay team of Sullens,
John Masiliunas,
Scottie Nicotra, and Eberle touched the wall first in 3:24.06.
Nicotra also finished second in the 200-yard IM (2:06.28) and 100-yard freestyle (49.88) as did
Nathen Trachta in the 500-yard freestyle with a time of 5:13.40.
