JACKSONVILLE, Ill. – Three school records were set by members of the Illinois College men's track and field squad on Saturday during the IC Snowbird Open at King Field House.
Dylan Doss, an All-American last season, picked up where he left off, setting school standards in the long jump, which he won, posting a leap of 7.22 meters. He also placed his name at the top of the school list in the 400-meter dash, winning the event in a time of 49.59.
The Blueboys also got a school record performance from
Devin Boggs in the 3,000 meters when he posted a 9:15.38 effort.
Robby Biesenthal's 9:16.90 effort in the same event was the second-best performance in school history.
IC's
Melvin Hodge was victorious in the weight throw with a toss of 16.85 meters. Deon Rogers was third in the event (16.35 meters which is fifth in IC history).
Saul Hernandez uncorked the fifth-best shot put performance in IC history with a put of 14.81 while Hodge was fourth in 13.84 meters.
Adam Hernandez rounded out the top-five finishes for the Blueboys when he recorded an 8.69 effort in the 60-meter hurdles to finish third.
