BLOOMINGTON, Ill. –
Dylan Doss and
Melvin Hodge had record performances at the Titan First Chance Meet at the Shirk Center Indoor Track on the campus of Illinois Wesleyan on Saturday.
Doss, an All-American in the outdoor season, set the school record in the 60 (6.87 seconds) and 200 meters (21.82 seconds) and tied the school mark in the long jump (7.15 meters). He won all three events. Doss currently is ranked eighth in the 60m, second in the 200m, and seventh in the long jump in NCAA Division III Men's Indoor Track & Field.
Hodge won the weight throw with a toss of 77.06 meters, which was a personal best and the second-best throw in school history, puts him ranked eleventh in NCAA Division III. Additionally, his personal-best mark of 14.25 meters in the shot put was good for second place and sits at thirty-seventh in the national rankings.
Saul Hernandez finished third in the shot, recording a personal-best mark of 14.09 meters.
Devin Boggs took second in the 3,000 meters with a time of 9:38.66 while
Jacob Kollman was third in the triple jump, recording a mark of 13.73 meters which was a personal best.
In the 60-meter hurdles,
Adam Hernandez recorded a personal best of 8.63 seconds.
