JACKSONVILLE, Ill.- The Illinois College men's and women's track and field teams competed in their last indoor home meet of the season. Other teams that competed today included Knox College, Lake Forest College, and Greenville University.
The Lady Blues came away with four event wins to earn them a first place finish with a final team score of 51. The event winners for the Lady Blues included
Paige Nowak in the pole vault (9'2.25"),
Olivia Molette in the long jump (17'2.75"), Rewnee Hartman in the shot put (38'10.5"), and
Elizabeth Bowns in the weight throw (49'2.25").
The Blueboys were able to earn three event wins in today's meet.
Dakota Stevens took first place in the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 9.42.
Devin Boggs placed first in the 5000-meter run with a time of 17:05.73 which earns him a spot in the IC record books as the fifth fastest time for the event.
The men's 4x400-meter relay team of
Elgin Scherff,
Collin White,
Kyle Little, and
Jacob Fedderke came away with a victory with a time of 3:39.41.
The Blueboys would finish the meet taking third overall with a final team score of 35 points.
