By: Illinois College exacted some revenge on Lincoln Christian in five sets after falling in three to the Red Lions earlier this season.

Box Score 2 JACKSONVILLE, Ill. - The Illinois College volleyball team started the second day of their home tournament with another win in a five-set thriller against Lincoln Christian University, then dropped all three sets to Anderson University. The 3-1 performance in the tournament bumped their record to 12-14.
IC will make one last return to Midwest Conference action beginning on Oct. 29 with a home match against Cornell College at 7 p.m.
Illinois College 3, LCU 2
(25-11, 23-25, 23-25, 25-20, 15-6)The Lady Blues came out firing as they piled up 59 kills in the match, including 22 from
Holly Crocher and 21 from
Lisa Lowry.
The first set was dominated by the Lady Blues, as they laid down ten kills and forced Lincoln Christian into nine attack errors for an impressive 25-11 win.
The Red Lions were able to come back and at times fight off an IC rally to claim the next two sets by scores of 25-23. Needing a win to stay alive, the Lady Blues got back into the match with a 25-20 win in the fourth.
The fifth set was nearly a mirror image of the first as the Lady Blues regained their attacking prowess, and LCU committed seven errors. The final result was a 15-6 win to give IC the five-set victory.
Courtney Louveau ended the match with 46 assists. Defensively,
Allison Perkins had a match-high 28 digs, while
Mikayla Greenwood had 13. IC also ended with eight blocks as a team.
Anderson University 3, Illinois College 0
(6-25, 14-25, 21-25)The attacking force of Illinois College was nowhere to be found during its second match, as Anderson controlled the action from the very beginning, finishing with 37 kills and eight blocks.
The first set was a quick one as Illinois College could only muster six points, dropping the set 25-6.
The Lady Blues showed a little more life in the following two sets, scoring 14 points in the second set and 21 in the third. Lowry led the team with eight kills in the match and Perkins led with 14 digs.
Errors were the big factor in the match, as IC had five serving errors compared to AU's one, and 11 receiving errors against the Ravens' one.
