JACKSONVILLE, Ill. – The Illinois College volleyball team posted 17 aces en route to a dominant 3-0 (25-14, 25-13, 25-8) win over Principia in the season-opening match for both teams on Tuesday inside Sherman Gymnasium.

IC 3 Principia 0 
Mady Salisbury led the ace parade with five while Delani Klaas added four. Josie Hoagland chipped in with three, and Kennedy Ostendorf added a pair.

Klaas led IC with team-highs of 11 kills and eight digs. Ostendorf dished out a match-high 30 assists for IC, which hit .425 on the night.

Blue Notes
The Lady Blues hit an incredible .800 in the third and final set of the night, recording 16 kills with no errors in 20 attacks.

IC will host the Lady Blue Challenge on Friday and Saturday at the Bruner Center. The Lady Blues will face Anderson on Friday at 7:00 p.m. before facing Loras on Saturday at 11:00 a.m. and Mount St. Joseph at 1:00 p.m.
