NEW ORLEANS, La. -- The Illinois College women's track and field team, along with freshman
Riley Gardner, earned All-Academic Honors from the U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association, the organization announced today.
The Lady Blues were honored as a team for having a 3.36 squad grade-point-average during the 2026 season. Gardner, a freshman from Crawfordsville, Ind., is a Psychology and Biology major who was a two-time All-American in the high jump this past season. She finished eighth at the NCAA Division III Indoor Championships and tied for fourth at the Outdoor Championships.
To be honored, individual student-athletes must have a cumulative GPA of 3.30 or higher and be ranked in the Top 50 in the nation in their event.
