NEW ORLEANS, La. -- The Illinois College men's track and field team, along with senior
Deon Rodgers, earned All-Academic Honors from the U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association, the organization announced today.
The Blueboys were honored as a team for having a 3.2 squad grade-point-average during the 2026 season. Â Rodgers, a senior from Quincy, Ill., is a Kinesiology/Exercise Science major who was named the Midwest Conference Outdoor Performer of the Year after helping IC capture the program's first conference title in May.
To be honored, individual student-athletes must have a cumulative GPA of 3.30 or higher and be ranked in the Top 50 in the nation in their event.
