Final Results
MONMOUTH, Ill. – The Illinois College men's track and field team had a pair of double winners at the Fighting Scot Outdoor Invitational on Saturday at April Zorn Memorial Stadium.
The Blueboys'
Kani Carson and
Adam Hernandez each won a pair of events in the final meet before the annual Midwest Conference Outdoor Championships next week. Carson won both the 100 (10.93 seconds) and 200 meters (21.81 seconds) while Hernandez broke the tape in both 110 (14.89 seconds) and 400 (56.51 seconds) meter hurdles.
In addition to that duo, IC crowned four additional champions on the day.
Jack Rogers rounded out the Blueboy champions on the track when he won the 3,000-meter steeplechase in a time of 10:23.05. In the field events,
Melvin Hodge won the hammer throw with a mark of 58.88 meters,
Ben Replogle took the title in the javelin with a toss of 48.82 meters, and
Jaden Saunders was first in the long jump with a leap of 6.78 meters.
Back on the track, IC got a second place finish from
Sam Stimler in the 100 meters (11.06 seconds), and he placed fifth in the 200 meters (22.51 seconds). The Blueboys also got fifth-place finishes from
Jamie Hendrix in the 110-meter hurdles (16.44 seconds) and
Drew Cushman in the 400 meters (51.44).
In the field events, IC's
Jacob Kollman was second in the long jump (6.56 meters) as was
Deon Rodgers in the discus (46.10 meters).
Saul Hernandez was third in the shot put (14.59 meters), as was
Griffin Martin in the discus (45.00 meters).
The Blueboys got fourth-place showings from Rodgers in the hammer throw (48.84 meters), Kollman in the high jump (1.76 meters), and
Caden Dettmer in the javelin (43.11 meters). Rodgers took fifth in the shot put (14.12 meters), as did
Camden Pierce in the pole vault (3.50 meters), and Replogle in the long jump (6.42 meters).

The Blueboys will compete in the annual Midwest Conference Championships on Friday and Saturday in Mt. Vernon, Iowa.
