Final Results
MONMOUTH, Ill. – The Illinois College men's track and field team had four champions in the field events at the Thursday Twilight Special at April Zorn Memorial Stadium.
Leading the list of Blueboy title winners was
Melvin Hodge, who set a school record and uncorked the nation's third-best hammer throw mark with a toss of 60.60 meters.
Deon Rodgers won the discus with a school-record throw of 50.47 meters, while
Jaden Saunders took the long jump with a leap of 6.97 meters.
Jacob Kollman rounded out IC's field event champions by winning the triple jump with a mark of 14.11 meters.
Rodgers also took third in the hammer throw (49.05 meters), while
Ben Replogle did the same in the javelin (51.59 meters). Kollman (6.84 meters) and Replogle (6.64 meters) were second and third, respectively, in the long jump, as were
Dylan Humphrey (12.78 meters) and
Austin Missey (12.45 meters) in the triple jump.
Saul Hernandez finished fourth in the shot with a mark of 14.71 meters.
On the track,
Jamie Hendrix was second in the 400-meter hurdles in 59.37 seconds while
Jacob Anderson was fourth in 1:03.28.
Robby Biesenthal finished second in the 1,500 meters in 4:26.2, while
Jack Rogers was third in 4:34.25.
Zac Howard rounded out IC's top five finishers on the track with a fifth-place showing in the 800 meters, clocking a 2:08.34 effort.

IC will send competitors to the annual Drake Relays in Des Moines, Iowa, on Friday and Saturday.
