JACKSONVILLE, Ill. – Illinois College has announced the hiring of Teddy Gedville as an assistant coach for the Lady Blues volleyball program, Head Coach Claire Scully announced.
"We are incredibly excited for Teddy to join our program and have an impact on our athletes," Scully said. "Teddy's time with successful programs at North Park as a player and a coach will be an asset to the Lady Blues Volleyball Program. His emphasis on development both on and off the court makes him a great choice to coach and mentor our student-athletes."
Gedville comes to the Hilltop following a successful stint at North Park University, where he served as an assistant coach for both the women's and men's volleyball programs since 2022. During his time in Chicago, he played a key role in practice planning, player development, and match preparation, including film breakdown and opponent scouting. He also contributed to the women's program earning a berth in the NCAA Division III Tournament.
While with the Vikings, Gedville specialized in position-specific training and helped mentor setters who earned multiple weekly conference honors. His responsibilities also included tracking match statistics and assisting with in-game strategy adjustments.
In addition to his collegiate coaching experience, Gedville has worked at the club level with LCVC, leading training sessions focused on technical development and decision-making. He also spent time as a statistician at North Park, providing detailed performance analysis to coaching staffs across multiple sports.
A former player for the North Park men's volleyball team, Gedville brings over a decade of competitive playing experience to the sidelines.
Gedville earned his Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science from North Park in 2025.
He will join the Lady Blues program ahead of the upcoming season, bringing a strong background in player development, analytics, and competitive success.
