Final Results
JACKSONVILLE, Ill. – Illinois College's men's track and field team reeled in four event winners and a school record during the Thursday Throwdown at England Stadium on Thursday.
Two of the titles were in field events.
Melvin Hodge captured the hammer throw with a school-record toss of 59.82 meters, and
Jacob Kollman won the long jump, with a leap of 6.73 meters.
On the track, events were won by
Jack Rogers in the 3,000-meter steeplechase with a time of 10:33.92 and
Adam Hernandez in the 110-meter hurdles in 14.76 seconds.
Rogers had company in the steeplechase as
Zac Howard finished fourth in 11:28.50.
Jamie Hendrix took fifth in the 100-meter hurdles (16.17 seconds).
Kani Carson placed third in the 100 meters (10.73 seconds). In the 200 meters, Hernandez took third in 21.97 seconds, and Carson, with a time of 22.0 seconds, finished fifth.
Nick Hannig wrapped up the track events with a fourth-place finish in the 5,000 meters, clocking a time of 17:17.89.
In the field events,
Deon Rodgers joined Hodge as he placed second in the hammer throw with a toss of 52.12 meters. Hernandez was fourth in the high jump, clearing 1.80 meters.
Ben Replogle was second in the long jump (6.56 meters). Kollman added to his day with a third-place showing in the triple jump (6.73 meters), with
Dylan Humphrey placing fifth (12.58 meters).
Camden Pierce was third in pole vault with a mark of 3.50 meters.
