GREENVILLE, Ill.
– The Illinois College men's track and field team had two individuals win titles at the Greenville Select Meet on Saturday at Francis Field at the John M. Strahl Complex.

Melvin Hodge broke his own school record – which he set last week – and won the hammer throw with a toss of 60.39 meters. That mark also ranks third nationally as of Saturday.

IC's Adam Hernandez also won the 110-meter hurdles with a time of 14.53 seconds, a mark that currently leads the Midwest Conference.

Back in the field events, the Blueboys' Jaden Saunders placed second in the long jump with a leap of 6.84 meters.

Hodge was joined in the hammer throw by Deon Rodgers, who was fourth at 51.35 meters, and Griffin Martin, who was fifth at 50.60 meters.

IC's two relay teams both finished third in their respective events. The 4x100 squad clocked a 41.88-second effort while the 4x400 team finished in 3:21.60.

Individually, Sam Stimler placed fourth in the 200 meters with a time of 21.81 seconds.
