Final Results
JACKSONVILLE, Ill. – The Illinois College women's track and field team had five event winners at the annual Jim Green Invitational in King Fieldhouse on Saturday.
The individual winners included
Aleese Trimingham,
Riley Gardner, and
Haley Garrett, while the Lady Blues had a pair of relay teams, the Distance Medley Relay and the 4x400-meter relay, break the tape as well.
Trimingham captured the 60-meter hurdles in 9.11 seconds while Garrett won the 200 meters in 26.35 seconds. Gardner was the lone IC field event titlist, as she won the high jump with a leap of 1.65 meters.Â
The DMR team of
Kairy Mercado-Ramos,
Abby Love,
Caroline Peters, and
Ashley Watson won in 13:59.07, while the winning 4x400 meter relay team of
Kami Rhoades,
McKenzie Murray,
Abby Love, and Trimingham was victorious in 4:12.67.Â
IC also had four top ten finishes in the weight throw, led by
Natalie Hasting, who finished second with a toss of 15.68 meters.
Delanie Teno and
Kevlynn DeJaynes were fourth and seventh, respectively, while
Kasyden Williams was 10th.
IC's
Ellie Bartling finished second in the shot put with a mark of 11.98 meters. Â
Back on the track,
Fynesse Jones finished third in the 200 meters in 27.35 seconds while Murray took fifth in the 60 meters in 8.13 seconds.
Up Next
IC will travel to Monmouth and compete in the Roger Haynes Invitational on Saturday, February 14th. The meet is scheduled to begin at 10:45 a.m.Â
