Final Results
GRINNELL, Iowa – The Illinois College women's track and field team finished as the runner-up at the annual Midwest Conference Indoor Championships, which wrapped up Saturday at the Grinnell Fieldhouse.
The Lady Blues finished the meet with 131.5 points. Grinnell won the team title with 156 points.
Individually, IC's
Haley Garrett was named the 2026 Women's Outstanding Track Performer for her efforts.
Garrett was a two-time champion on the day. She opened by winning the 60 meters with a time of 7.83 seconds and followed that by breaking the tape in the 200 meters in 25.85 seconds. Both of those times were season-bests for her.
The Lady Blues' other champion on the day was
Aleese Trimingham, who won the 60-meter hurdles in a season-best 9.01 seconds.
IC went 1-2-3 in the 200 meters as Garrett was joined by
McKenzie Murray and Trimingham. Murray was the runner-up in 26.38 seconds, with Trimingham picking up third in 26.932 seconds. Â The Lady Blues also went 1-2-3 in the 60 meters. Garett, along with
Deja Anderson (second at 7.95 seconds), and Murray (third at 8.04 seconds) swept the top honors.
The 4x400-meter relay squad of
Kami Rhoades, Murray,
Caroline Peters, and Trimingham finished fourth with a time of 4:11.17.
In the field events,
Deniyah Lockman finished third in the triple jump with a leap of 10.27 meters. IC also got a fourth-place finish from
Delanie Teno in the weight throw with a toss of 15.16 meters.
Natalie Hasting was fifth at 15.13 meters.
