Day 1 Results
GRINNELL, Iowa – The Illinois College men's track and field squad sits in second place after the opening day of the Midwest Conference Indoor Championships on Friday at the Grinnell Fieldhouse.
The Blueboys scored 39 points on the day, trailing only Grinnell who tallied 43.
The highest finals finish of the day for IC came from the 4x200-meter relay squad of
Ki'on Carson,
Kani Carson,
Adam Hernandez, and
Sam Stimler, who finished second in 1:29.37.
IC had a 3-4-5 finish in the long jump.
Jaden Saunders took third with a leap of 6.64 meters,
Jacob Kollman was fourth at 6.63 meters, and
Ben Replogle took fifth at 6.54 meters.
The Blueboys also had a pair of top-five finishers in the shot put.
Alex Rood finished third with a mark of 15.23 meters, while
Melvin Hodge was fourth at 14.97 meters.

The championship concludes tomorrow. Field events begin at 10:00 a.m. with running action slated to start at Noon.
