GRINNELL, Iowa – Illinois College's
Riley Gardner has been named the Midwest Conference Field Performer of the Week, the league announced today.
Gardner, a freshman from Crawfordsville, Ind., took the title in the high jump at the Hilltop Invitational on Friday at the King Fieldhouse, clearing 1.60 meters.
This is the second time this season Gardner has been honored, and the second consecutive week an IC athlete has earned the award (long jumper
Deja Anderson was named last week).
The Lady Blues will defend their Midwest Conference Indoor Championship this weekend when they travel to Grinnell, Iowa, for the annual conference meet on Friday and Saturday.
