Final Results
JACKSONVILLE, Ill. – Illinois College's
Riley Gardner,
Haley Garrett, and
Aleese Trimingham each won events at the Hilltop Classic on Friday at King Fieldhouse.
Trimingham cruised to the win in the 60-meter hurdles, posting a 9.02-second effort. That is the fastest time in the Midwest Conference this season. Garrett won the 200 meters in 26.07 seconds, which is also the fastest time in the league to date. Gardner took the title in the high jump, clearing 1.60 meters.
In the field events, IC got a second-place showing from
Ellie Bartling, who had a mark of 11.50 meters.
Natalie Hasting was also second in the weight throw with a toss of 15.19 meters. She was joined in the top five by
Delanie Teno, who was third (15.12 meters) and
Kevlynn DeJaynes, who finished fourth (14.90 meters).
Deniyah Lockman placed fourth in the triple jump with a leap of 10.15 meters.
Garrett was joined in the 200 meters by
McKenzie Murray, who took second (26.48 seconds) and
Deja Anderson, who was fourth (27.15 seconds).
Kami Rhoades placed second in the 400 meters with a time of 1:03.19, while
Ashley Watson was two spots behind in 1:05.44.
Murray also took third in the 60 meters with an 8.07-second effort.

The Lady Blues will defend their Midwest Conference indoor title when they travel to the league's annual Indoor Championships on Friday and Saturday in Grinnell, Iowa. Action begins on Friday at 4:00 p.m. and Saturday at 10:00 a.m.
