Deja Anderson Named MWC Field Performer of the Week

GRINNELL, Iowa – Illinois College's Deja Anderson has been named the Midwest Conference Field Performer of the Week, the league announced today.

Anderson, a junior from Springfield, Ill., won the long jump with a leap of 5.65 meters at the Roger Haynes Invitational on Saturday. Her jump was her season-best, the top distance in the Midwest Conference to date, and currently ranks 17th in the nation.

The Lady Blues will be in action on Friday when they host the annual Hilltop Classic inside King Fieldhouse. Meet time is 5:00 p.m.
