Final Results
BLOOMINGTON, Ill. – The Illinois College women's track and field team's
Aleese Trimingham,
Kairy Mercado-Ramos, and
Delanie Teno each won titles at Illinois Wesleyan's Jason Dennis Memorial at the Shirk Center Indoor Track on Friday night.
Trimingham captured the 60-meter hurdles in 9.06 seconds, which is the fastest time in the Midwest Conference this season and the second-fastest in IC history. Teno took home the title in the weight throw with a toss of 14.84 meters while Mercado-Ramos won the 3,000 meters in 21:48.39.
Teno was joined in the weight throw by teammates
Natalie Hasting, who was second (14.13 meters),
Kevlynn DeJaynes, who was third (14.12 meters), and
Kasyden Williams, fifth (12.36 meters).
IC also had three top-five finishes in the shot put, with
Ellie Bartling second at 11.02 meters, Teno third at 11.32 meters, and DeJaynes fifth at 10.49 meters.
Back on the track,
Morgan Carrino was second in the 3,000 meters with a time of 22:38.91 while Haylee Garrett finished third in the 60 meters (7.99 seconds) with
Fynesse Jones taking fourth (8.13 seconds).
The Lady Blues had a pair of fifth-place finishes on the track as
Kami Rhoades was fifth in the 400 meters (1:03.13) and
Caroline Peters was fifth in the 800 meters (2:34.70).
