Final Results
JACKSONVILLE, Ill. – The Illinois College men's track and field team opened its home portion of the 2026 indoor season by hosting IC Snowbird Invite and crowning a pair of champions on Saturday inside King Fieldhouse.
Melvin Hodge won the weight throw with a toss of 17.99 meters in the field events while on the track,
Kani Carson won the 200-meter dash in 22.65 seconds which is the second-fastest time in the Midwest Conference this season.
Hodge had company in the weight throw as
Deon Rodgers was second at 16.55 meters and
Thomas Pena fourth in 15.37 meters. In the shot put,
Saul Hernandez was second (14.72 meters) with
Alex Rood third (14.70 meters), Rodgers fourth (14.38 meters), and Hodge fifth (14.23 meters).
Rounding out the field events was
Jaden Saunders, who took third in the long jump 6.60 meters.
On the track,
Adam Hernandez posted a time of 8.55 seconds in the 60-meter hurdles preliminaries which is the best time in the Midwest Conference this season.
Ki'on Carson was fourth in the 200 meters in 23.23 seconds.
Another highlight for IC on the track came in the 3,000 meters when
Robby Biesenthal set the school record as he clocked an 8:58.22 performance.
Kani Carson took fifth in the 60-meter dash in 6.95 seconds which is the third-fastest time in the conference to date.
