CHARLESTON, Ill. – The Illinois College men's track and field team had four individuals compete at the annual EIU John Craft Invite on Saturday at the Lantz Indoor Fieldhouse.
Highlighting the Blueboys' performance was a second-place showing from
Melvin Hodge in the weight throw. The senior Moro, Ill., uncorked a toss of 17.16 meters.
Deon Rodgers was sixth overall with a 15.81-meter mark.
In the shot put,
Saul Hernandez finished sixth overall with a throw of 14.35 meters. Rodgers was seventh with a mark of 14.14 meters. Hodge was 13th at 13.68 meters while
Alex Rood was 14th at 13.60 meters.
The foursome was the only Blueboys to compete at the meet.

The Blueboys will make their 2026 home debut on Saturday when they host the annual IC Snowbird Invitational inside the King Field House. The meet is scheduled for a 10:00 a.m. start.
