GRINNELL, Iowa – Illinois College wide receiver
Kyle Leonard has been named the Midwest Conference Offensive Player of the Week, it was announced by the league today.
The junior from Carrollton, Ill., caught nine passes for 132 yards and two touchdowns, including the game-winner from 19 yards out in overtime as IC beat Lake Forest, 28-25, on Saturday to push the Blueboys to 2-0 for the first time since 2013. Leonard also completed his only pass attempt of the game for 15 yards.
This is the second consecutive week an IC player has earned the Midwest Conference Offensive Player of the Week award. Blueboys' quarterback
Tyson Elliott was honored last week.
IC travels to the University of Chicago on Saturday for a 1:00 p.m. kick-off.
