JACKSONVILLE, Ill. – The Illinois College football team rushed for 215 yards and kept Grinnell out of the end zone en route to a 13-3 win over the Pioneers in a Midwest Conference matchup during the annual Homecoming contest on Saturday at England Stadium.
IC improves to 3-3 overall and 2-2 in the league while Grinnell fell to 3-3 and 2-2.

IC got on the board first when
Skyler Young crashed in from four yards out with 8:36 to go in the first quarter.
Mia Gerger drilled the extra point, and IC had a 7-0 lead.
The Pioneers got a field goal early in the second quarter, and the teams went into halftime with IC holding a 7-3 lead.
The only score of the second half came when
Ki'on Carson sprinted in from 34 yards out to give IC a 13-3 lead and turned the remainder of the game over to the Blueboy defense, who kept Grinnell off the board for the remainder of the day.
Young led the IC ground game with 113 yards on 19 carries while Carson added 94 on 14 trips.
Jack Piening was 13-for-22 for 110 yards in the passing game.
The Blueboy defense limited Grinnell to 132 yards of offense on the day and was led by
Kolton Jany, who had a team-high 11 tackles and an interception.
Maurice Evans added nine stops and
Connor McDowell six for IC.
