The Maroons opened the scoring with a field goal in the first quarter and a touchdown in the second and took a 10-0 lead into halftime.

After a third-quarter touchdown and a field goal in the early stages of the fourth, Chicago held a 20-0 lead before IC began its rally.

The Blueboys got on the board with 4:48 to play when Jack Piening found Zac Laird for a 26-yard scoring pass. Mia Gerger booted the extra point, and it was 20-7. IC got the ball back and again, Piening helped put the Blueboys on the board, this time tossing a 30-yard strike to Cole Stuart. Gerger split the uprights, and it was 20-14 with 2:46 to play.

IC then forced a Chicago punt and had one last opportunity, driving from its own 20 to the Maroon 36-yard line but could not punch the ball in for a third time.

Piening led the IC attack, going 32-for-44 for 349 yards and two touchdowns. Stuart latched on to eight passes for 87 yards and a score. Laird caught seven balls for 65 yards and a score, while Aiden Porter also caught seven and had a team-high 92 yards.

Ki'on Carson paced the ground game, gaining 58 yards on 14 carries.

The IC defense was led by Maurice Evans, who had a team-high 10 tackles. Kolton Jany added eight stops while Landon Grapperhaus and Clayton Dinardo each had seven. Dinardo also had an interception.
