BLOOMINGTON, Ill. – The Illinois College women's cross country team had three top 10 finishers en route to a second-place showing at the Titan Opener on Friday evening at Maxwell Park.
Caroline Peters led the Lady Blues as she placed eighth overall in 13:19.0.
Bailey Downing took ninth in her collegiate debut with a time of 14:15.1, while
Claire Peters was 10th in 14:48.3.
Ashley Watson clocked a 15:03.8 in her collegiate debut to take 11th, while
Morgan Carrino was 12th in 15:07.6.
The IC contingent was rounded out by
Paiton Waggoner's 13th-place finish in 15:27.8 and
Michelle DeJaynes' 14th-place showing in 15:48.5

The Lady Blues will be back in action a week from today when they compete at the UIS Prairie Stars Invite. The first race is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. in Springfield.
