Final Results
MONMOUTH, Ill. – The Illinois College women's track and field squad brought home five titles from the Fighting Scot Invite on Saturday at Zorn Stadium.
The Lady Blues crowned three champions in the field events.
Maddie Benson took the pole vault title, clearing 3.55 meters.
Keyleigh Thomas won the javelin with a toss of 40.10 meters while
Deja Anderson was tops in the long jump with a leap of 5.68 meters.
IC's champs on the track were
Aleese Trimingham in the 100-meter hurdles in a time of 14.92 seconds and
Kami Rhoades in the 400 meters in 1:01.39.
Haley Garrett posted a pair of second-place finishes in the 100 meters (12.50 seconds) and 200 meters (25.52 seconds). The 200 also featured a third-place finish from
McKenzie Murray (25.65 seconds), a fourth-place showing from
Fynesse Jones (26.05), and a fifth-place finish from Trimingham (26.51 seconds).
The Lady Blues'
Caroline Peters was fourth in the 400 meters (1:04.81), as was
Patricia Rivera in the 400-meter hurdles (1:17.42). Anderson took fifth in the 100 meters (12.66 seconds).
In the field events, IC had fourth-place finishes from
Natalie Hasting in the discus (36.88 meters), Jones in the long jump (5.10 meters), and
Elaina Manuel in the javelin (30.77 meters).
