GENEVA, Ohio – Illinois College's
Dylan Doss earned All-American honors in the long jump for the second straight year during the first day of the NCAA Division III Outdoor Track and Field Championships at SPIRE Institute.
The sophomore from Sterling, Ill., entered the event as the 17th-seed and finished eighth with a leap of 7.11 meters (23' 4"). This is the second consecutive year he has been an All-American in the event after finishing 10th at last season's outdoor championships.
Thursday also saw Doss compete in the 200 meters. He was disqualified for a lane violation after his heat and will not advance to the finals.
Doss will compete tomorrow in the opening round of the 100 meters at 2:30 p.m. (CST). Live results for the entire weekend are available
