Final Results
GALESBURG, Ill. – The Illinois College men's track and field team brought home five event titles from the Knox Open on Saturday on the Turner Track at Trevor Field. Â
IC crowned three champs on the track.
Devin Boggs won the 3,000 meters in 10:13.59 to open the day.
Drew Cushman then won the 400 meters in 50.89 seconds. The third title-winner for the Blueboys on the track was
Robby Biesenthal in the 5,000 meters with a time of 16:29.41.
The Blueboys had one individual take two wins in the field events.
Deon Rodgers won the discus (45.23 meters) and shot put (14.53 meters).
Back on the track, IC got third-place finishes from
Jack Bacon in the 800 meters (2:01.04) and
Nick Hannig in the 5,000 meters (17:16.79).Â
Ki'on Carson took fourth in both the 100 meters (11.31 seconds) and 200 meters (23.02 seconds).
Nathan Barth also earned a fourth-place finish in the 400-meter hurdles (1:00.97) and added a fifth-place finish in the 110-meter hurdles (17.35 seconds).
Gavin Rasmussen rounded out the top five track finishes for IC in the 400 meters (52.72 seconds).
In the field events,
Melvin Hodge was third in the hammer throw (50.64 meters) as was
Saul Hernandez in the shot put (13.78 meters).
Xander Moushon took fifth in the shot put (12.98 meters), as did
Mark Flores in the javelin (42.40 meters).
Up Next
IC will be back in action next Saturday when it travels to the Monmouth Invite.
