JACKSONVILLE, Ill. – Illinois College Esports turned in a busy and competitive week of matches, highlighted by key wins in Valorant and Rocket League.
The Valorant squad earned two victories, knocking off Illinois State 2–1 behind Fray Moulton's 67 kills and record-setting 2.15 career KDA, then sweeping St. Ambrose 2–0 with a career-best 61 kills and 15 first bloods from Dwight Duijneveld.
In Rocket League, IC swept the University of Illinois 4–0 with balanced scoring from Lucas Barry, Duijneveld, and Glenn Conway. Earlier in the week, the Blueboys battled hard but fell to Saint Ambrose 0–4.
Overwatch went the distance in a five-map clash with Buena Vista before falling 2–3, while the Super Smash Bros. Ultimate team dropped its match to Rockford despite a strong 13-KO effort from Julian Luaders.
