JACKSONVILLE, Ill.- The Illinois College Overwatch team started strong but ultimately fell 1–3 to DePauw University in NECC competition.
IC opened the series with a commanding 2–0 victory on Lijiang Tower to take an early lead. DePauw responded on Eichenwalde with a 3–0 win to even the match before pulling ahead on New Queen Street with a 3–1 result. In the fourth game on Rialto, DePauw closed out the series with a 3–0 victory.
While the final score favored DePauw, Illinois College showed flashes of strong play, particularly in the opening map, and continues to build experience against tough competition. The roster for Illinois College featured Dwight Duijenveld and Meryn Davis at DPS, Carter Naeve at tank, and Alex Rhoades along with Bunni Little at support.
