GRINNELL, Iowa – Illinois College's
Lucas Sullens has been named the Midwest Conference Men's Swimming Performer of the Week, it was announced by the league today.
Swimming in his first collegiate meet, Sullens, a freshman from Chatham, Ill., was a part of three victories while helping IC open the season with a 114-88 win at Coe on Saturday.
Individually, Sullens won the 200-yard freestyle in 1:51.30, the 100-yard backstroke in 57.38 seconds, and was then a part of IC's 200-yard freestyle relay team that was victorious in 1:30.94.
IC is back in action on Saturday when it travels to Decatur, Ill., for the Millikin Tri-Meet at 2:00 p.m.
