CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa – The Illinois College men's swimming team posted a 114-88 victory over Coe in the season-opening dual on Saturday at the Coe Natatorium.
IC has now won 11 consecutive duals dating back to last season.
The Blueboys posted seven victories on the day.
IC's 200-yard freestyle relay team of
Nathen Trachta,
Lucas Sullens,
Scottie Nicotra, and
Eli Eberle combined to win the event in 1:30.94.
Individually, IC's victory parade came from
Cade Emerick in the 1,000-yard freestyle (11:26.15), Sullens in both the 200-yard freestyle (1:51.30) and 100-yard backstroke (57.38), Nicotra in the 200-yard IM (2:08.07), Eberle in the 100-yard butterfly (52.43), and Trachta in the 500-yard freestyle (5:18.02).
