GRINNELL, Iowa – Illinois College's
Katy Adler has been named the Midwest Conference Women's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week, it was announced by the league today.
A freshman forward from Mead, Colorado, Adler scored two goals and had an assist as IC posted a pair of MWC victories last week. In the 3-0 win over Beloit on Wednesday, Adler got the Lady Blues on the board with a goal just over 15 minutes into the contest. She followed that on Saturday with an assist on IC's first score of the match and then had its second goal of the day en route to a 5-0 win over Cornell.
Adler leads the team in goals (8), assists (5), and points (21) as the Lady Blues are off to the best conference start in program history with a 4-1 record.
IC is back in action tomorrow when it travels to Monmouth for a Midwest Conference contest that kicks off at 3:00 p.m.
