Box Score GALESBURG, Ill. – The Illinois College women's soccer team exploded for five goals and cruised to a 5-1 win over Knox in a Midwest Conference match on Tuesday at Jorge Prats Field.
The victory moved IC to 6-5-1 overall and 2-0-0 in MWC play. Knox dropped to 3-6-1 overall and 0-2-0 in the league.

The Lady Blues put the match out of reach quickly in the opening half, scoring three goals in just over four minutes.
IC's
Aliza Rodriguez opened the scoring when she found the net at the 20:14 mark with an assist from
Lexi Van Dyke.
Abby Love scored unassisted 2:45 seconds later to make it 2-0 before
Olivia Ralston capped the flurry at the 24:54 mark with assists coming from Rodriguez and
Katy Adler.
The Prairie Fire closed out the first half scoring with their lone goal of the match at 30:14, and the Lady Blues went into halftime leading 3-1.
The second half was all IC and
Erin O'Connell as she tallied twice for the Lady Blues, both scores coming on penalty kicks. O'Connell's first goal was at the 49:32 mark and the follow-up at 63:58, which ended the scoring in the match.
IC outshot Knox 15-4 on the day, using a balanced attack. Rodriquez led the IC offense with three shots, while Adler and O'Connell each had two. Eleven different Lady Blues had shots in the match.
Jesse Trost went the distance in goal for the Lady Blues and recorded a save in her 90 minutes of action.

The 2-0-0 league start for IC is the best conference start in program history.
