JACKSONVILLE, Ill. – The Illinois College women's soccer team exploded for five goals in the first half and then cruised to a 5-0 victory over Cornell in a Midwest Conference match on Saturday afternoon at England Stadium.
IC, which is off to the best conference start in school history, is now 8-6-2 overall and 4-1-0 in MWC play. Cornell fell to 2-11-0 and 0-4-0.

The Lady Blues came out firing and scored the match's first goal at the 9:37 mark when Alica Rodriguez took a feed from
Katy Adler to give IC a lead they would never let go.
Adler added to the point total when she scored unassisted at the 14:57 mark.
IC made it 3-0 at 19:30 when Rodriquez found the net for the second time in just under 10 minutes of action, this time scoring off a feed from
Holly Morehart.
McKenzie Murray scored with an assist from
Mady Brewer at the 39:11 mark before
Abby Keeton closed out the first half barrage when she took a pass from
Brianna Noud at 42:01.
IC outshot the Rams, 27-5. Adler led the charge with four shots, while Rodriguez and Murray each had three.
Jesse Trost continued her scoreless run in goal, working the first 75:11 of the match and recording two saves.
Haley Schuerman finished the last 14:49 and recorded a pair of saves as well.
