LAKE FOREST, Ill. – Lake Forest held off the Illinois College women's soccer team, 4-2, in a Midwest Conference match on Saturday at Farwell Field.
IC, which suffered its first conference loss of the season, is now 6-6-2 overall and 2-1-0 in MWC play. Lake Forest remained unbeaten and is now 12-0-0 and 2-0-0.

The Foresters jumped out to a 3-0 lead with a trio of goals in the opening half and took that advantage into intermission.
After the break, the Lady Blues began a rally while
Katy Adler scored at the 54:23 mark. Just a minute and 13 seconds later, Adler struck again to make it a 3-2 match. Lake Forest added an insurance goal in the 82nd minute to ice the contest.
Lake Forest posted 17 shots to IC's eight. The Lady Blues were led by Adler's five.
McKenzie Murray chipped in with two.
IC's
Jesse Trost had five saves on the day in goal.
