Scott Weakley Named New Head Men's and Women's Tennis Coach

JACKSONVILLE, Ill.- The Illinois College athletic department welcomes Scott Weakley as the new head men's and women's tennis coach. 

Weakley comes to IC after working as the head women's tennis coach at St. Thomas More High School in Champaign, Illinois. He was also employed as an English teacher at Unity High School. Weakley has had a long coaching career with experience coaching tennis and men's basketball at the college and high school levels. 

 "I am very excited to be joining Illinois College as the men's and women's tennis coach. I am looking forward to helping the players improve their tennis skills and grow their love for tennis, a skill they can enjoy for a lifetime," said Weakley. "It is a privilege to get to be a part of helping them enrich their experience here at IC as a part of the tennis team."

Weakley is a graduate of Illinois College from the class of 1984 where he received his Bachelor of Arts in English and his Secondary Education Certification. He then completed a Master of Arts in Education Administration degree from Governors State University in 2009. 

The men's and women's tennis teams will get their 2022-23 season underway on the road facing Webster University on Saturday, 9/3 at 10:00 AM.
